OK, just to stir things up a bit, at risk of being a butt head.... Am I
the only one sitting here thinking, who cares? lmao...... I mean it's
rubber! Carve carve carve! Some of us use anything we can get our
hands on, dollar store erasers are flame green, yellow, and pink too!
My only concern would be that the stuff holds a clear transfer of my
images :). Just my .02 cents worth..... Wingnut

I'm concerned that with my aging eyes there wouldn't be as much
contrast between the image and carving material if the material is
dark. Black on white will probably be best for me.

I haven't followed all of this discussion, but we were just at Target
and they have huge erasers in their Dollar spot section. They look to
measure about 2.5 x 5 inches and about a half inch thick. They are neon
colors, but someone on a budget might appreciate giving them a try. We
didn't need any carving medium right now, so I didn't pick any up. If
they are still around when they start clearancing that area out, I will
likely grab several even if it just gives the kids something to practice
carving on.

Thanks for the tip! Our niece & nephews plan to make their first boxes
for the Haunted Harvest gathering and this sounds like something they
could practice on and maybe even use for their final stamps if it
carves OK. (I'm sure their eyes are sharper than mine, so color
shouldn't be as much of an issue.)

They told me last night that they think they have their designs
finalized.
